Nathan Shea
Owner / Partner
Nathan is a restaurateur, property owner, and investor in Downtown Plano. After teaching and coaching for 15 years, Nathan’s second career includes more than 15 years in commercial real estate and development. In 2008 Nathan purchased the Historic W.R. George Building on 15th Street in Downtown Plano and partnered with World Master Chef and Italian-born Salvatore Gisellu to create the chef-driven, wood-fired pizza concept, Urban Crust Wood-Fired Pizzas and 32° Rooftop Bar. Two years later, Nathan purchased the Original Plano Ice House in Downtown Plano which was built in 1917. He restored the old building, located just one block south of Urban Crust, incorporating a portion of the original structure into the new four story IceHouse on 14th Street in Downtown Plano. In 2012, Nathan opened Urban Rio Cantina and Grill, On the Rocks Cantina, and Rooftop Event Spot, taking full advantage of the building’s vantage point and nearly 360-degree views of Dallas and the surrounding area. Nathan’s new venture in Downtown Plano (one block East on 14th Street) is Urban Seafood Company – a Wood-Grilled fresh seafood concept featuring Oysters and Bubbles and a fresh fish market to go. Nathan is also a Starbucks Coffee licensee in the Dallas area.
Longtime resident of the area, Nathan is an advocate for Historic Downtown Plano currently serving as President of the Historic Downtown Plano Association Foundation Board. Nathan is also actively involved with other area nonprofits and community events, sponsorships and in-kind support through his restaurants.
