Vanessa is a native to the DFW area and grew up in Plano, Texas. She graduated from Plano West Senior High School in 2003.  She spent her college days at Texas Tech University studying Restaurant Hotel Institutional Management with a minor in Spanish.  Upon graduation in 2007, Vanessa worked for Compass Group, the largest contract food service company in the world that jump started her career in food service management and catering operations. She was fortunate enough to work in different styles of food service from the American Airlines Headquarters Corporate Office cafes with Eurest Dining Services to the Governors Oscar’s Party with Wolfgang Puck Catering during her tenure with Compass Group.  

Vanessa joined the Urban Family Concepts in January of 2022. She and her husband, Cody, welcomed their first daughter, Ava, in March 2022.  They also have two wonderful dogs, Lilly & Koda that love playing fetch and going on long walks.
